MPC Finals, aka, Battle of the Luckboxes
May 24, 2011 by Dave Robichaud
Well, season 9 has come and gone and we have made history with this year's chapmionship game. For the first time, we have a repeat champ! Congrats Marc Julien!
You played well and got digustingly lucky when it counted. Let's not forget your flopped quads when you were all-in for your tournament life with 55 versus Barb's KK. Or, again, all in for your tournament life with 22 vs Shaun's Q8 and hit your 2-outter on the river.
But, nobody was as lucky as Roland. It was absolutely ridonkulous. He must have won 6 or 7 coin tosses (no, I'm not exaggerating). That's like trying to flip heads on a coin 7 times in a row. Try it, it's hard. He also hit his 5 outter for his tournament life when he flopped top/top with AJ against Marc's KK. It always seemed like he was behind, but always got there.
Also, if anybody is curious how NOT to handle yourself after delivering a really bad beat to somebody, watch Roland. :)
Here are a few pics that I took after the game was done. If anybody has any pictures or comments to share, please do so!

Marc and Roland's final hand. I believe Roland raised on the button, and when Marc shoved, Roland insta-called. The rest is history.

Look at Marc. A born champion. It's in his DNA to win. How do I know this? Well, let's look at the above picture a ltitle closer, shall we?
