Season X - Game II

Season X, Game II in 10 minutes!
Well, it really only started after like half an hour after this first tweet. Go MPC and our late start times!
Robert is out! All in with pocket 2s and Marcel knocked him out pocket tens.
I wasn't on Robert's table, but I heard that he had a few bluffs go awry, and was short stacked when he pushed with his 2s. Hopefully, we'll see more of our new member in the future!
@Marc_Julien just got quads aces. How does the guy play so bad but get rewarded???
Marc Julien is so good. Only a good player gets quads, and Marc Julien is it. 5 points for Julien!

Marc pushed all-in and Matt called. Marc's AT vs Matt's AK... ended up a split pot.
Another example of Marc's epic skills. Behind 70/30-ish, and ends up with a split pot. Weeee
Matt's out! Marcel raised with TT, Matt pushed with AJ, and Marcel called. The board didn't help Matt and it was curtain for Matt.
Pretty much self explanatory. Coin toss and the pair holds. I really need to get into the habit of taking more pictures. I'll try to get into the habit of taking more in the future.
Merged table!! Playing at 9 players now
Mergy-merge!
Marc gets knocked out! He moved in with AJ and got called by Dan's AK. AK held up and we're down to 8-handed!
Marc's skills/luck runs out. He was a big stack at his initial table, and ended up having to move when we were evening out the tables. Not sure what happened there, but I don't think he had a lot of fun at his new table... he came to the merge much shorter. I think I remember hearing Stacy took him for a TON of chips.
Stacy's out! Stacy moved all-in with TT on a A6A94 board... marcel called with AJ. Down to 7-handed. Marcel's third knockout of the day!
I'm not sure what I was doing, but I remember turning around when I heard Stacy's all-in and a subsequent insta-call by Marcel. So, I'm not 100% sure how the bets went or the chips stacks at the time, but I like Stacy's aggressiveness here. Just bad timing with Marcel holding the ace.
Marcel's on a tear! He just knocked out Dan with A8 when Dan had T3. The board came 4567. Down to 6-handed. Marcel is clearly the big-stack!
Tough break here. Again, not 100% sure of the stacks, position, bets, etc (I REALLY need to start paying attention and taking more pictures), but depending on Dan's stack, I think this hand kind of played itself. Laying down the bottom straight is pretty tough.
Barb's out! Moved in with AT and Marcel called with 88. Flop came and 8 and that was the end of Barb. Marcel is a MACHINE.
If anybody is keeping track, at this point, Marcel has FIVE of the six knockouts. He really was the table captain, just kickin' ass and taking names.
@twmelanson just busted Roland with a straight flush!! Raise and call pre-flop with T
T
, Roland had KhJd, flop came 689
! 7d on the turn and a straight flush for Todd, Roland was drawing dead! Crazy!
This is actually a really close hand before the 7
comes up. 57% for the tens vs 43% of the two overs and flush draw.
Straight Flush!! http://pic.twitter.com/jY8hEMCE

Dana just doubles up through Marcel! Flop comes A54 and Marcel had 84. he moves in and Dana calls with A9. Big move by marcel and big call!
Is it just me, or did everybody become maniacs on the off season? I love the aggressive play here and the marginal (and RIGHT) call by Dana.

Dave just doubled up huge! KQ3
flop and Dave had 62
. Dave bets, Dana moves all in and Dave tanks and calls. flush holds
Man, how good was I running - Flopping a flush like that. Wasn't supper happy when Dana moved in, but I don't think there are many situations where I can lay that hand down. Made the right call, but Dana made a really nice aggressive move here. It was for my tournament life, so I don't think there are many hands that I can make the call, with the exception of a made flush, a really strong flush draw, and any set. I'd have to get some serious Marc Julien camera time if I had two pair... that would be really difficult. Even if I do call with a flush (as long as it's not the nut flush), Dana still 30% to win with the 2nd nut flush. So, again, like the move, just bad timing. Yay me.
Dana's out! Dave moves in with AQ and Dana calls with KK. Dave runner runner's a flushes and now we're in the money!
That's just how I roll. I get it in with the worst of it and suck out. 2:1 dog, but manage to get lucky

The picture shows QJ, but I think that was somebody else's hand. There's a king way in the back, and I'm assuming that's one of the two that Dana had.
Todd's out vs Dave. I honestly don't remember the hand. @twmelanson?? refresh my memeory?
Todd's response: @MonctonPokerC Oh I think it was A8 for me and K2 for you.. You hit a K on the flop and it was lights our for me!
That was right. I think I had 600 invested and Todd moved in for 1600... so it was another 1000 to me with a King. I'm not super happy with calling here, but I think it's pretty standard.
Dave wins! Calls Marcel's all in with A9. Marcel moved in with QJ. When the board came A4467, the game was all over!!
I'm surprised Marcel moved in with such a marginal hand, although it was getting late, and I'm thinking he just wanted to get the game over with. From the stack of yellows shown in the picture, it seems like he still had quite a few chips, but he was just consistent with his really aggressive play of the day. I just happen to wake up with an Ace and lucky that it held up!

Man, I'm really horrible at taking pictures. Always super far, out of focus. I'll get better, I promise.
Thanks to everybody who came out today! A definite good time (and not only because I won) :D
Here is a picture, as I always like to do, of all the chips in my seat, along with my little buddy Homsar.
