Posting News Articles
Oct 17, 2011 by Dave Robichaud
Hey everybody!
Just a reminder that when you are logged into the MonctonPokerClub.com website, you are able to post your own news article on the site's homepage. Once you've logged in, there is a "Post News Article" link on the side - you can just click on that, and it will bring you to a page where you can type up your post. I've also recently made a few changes that gives the ability to upload pictures! Some people in the past have uploaded them to image sharing sites (such as photobucket), but that is no longer required!
(Jim - FYI, I saved a copy of the pictures you posted on the site and redirected them to our server.... so you don't need to keep them on your photobucket account anymore.)
In the past, I've always kind of taken the lead to write game summaries, and I definitely don't mind doing it, but it would be interesting to see other players' point of view from time to time. Also, if I happen to bust out early, I never have a lot of info to post a summary of the game.
So, just putting it out there - no pressure... but it would be cool if we could start having different people post their thoughts on games.
Here are the instructions to upload pictures:

Click on the IMAGE button as shown.

Click on BROWSE SERVER

Here is a list of all the images that have been previously uploaded. If your image is already there, simply click on the file name. If it's not, and you would like to upload the image from your computer to the website, click on the BROWSE button.

Find the image on your computer and doubled click on it.

Once you've selected the image, click on the UPLOAD button.

When the web site has completed uploading your image, you will see it as part of the list (so don't forget what the name of the file was!) Click on the name of the image in order to select it.

You'll get a small preview of what it looks like, and then just click ok.
The image will then be inserted into the document, and you can add additional images, or finish writing your post.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!
Cheers
Dave
