Season XV - Registration is OPEN

Hey folks!

 

I've heard that some people did not get the original email that was sent out so Im posting it here in case some of you are checking the site.

 

It’s that time again to start a new season of MPC action!

Usually Dave sends out these emails but we are going to give him a well-deserved break this year ;)

 

This will be our 15th season of poker goodness and it will start on September 24th.

This date will avoid conflicts with Bhagan's league and will give us some time to iron out a few details:

 

Season XV Schedule:

 

1. Sept 24th

* Skipping week for Thanksgiving *

2. October 22nd

3. November 5th

4. November 19th

5. December 3rd

6. December 17th

* Break for Christmas *

7. January 14th

8. January 28th (Yay! it’s my birthday so I better win this one!)

9. February 11th

10. February 25th

11. March 11th

12. March 25th

13. April 8th

14. April 22nd

15. May 6th – Last regular season game

May 20th - Final game

 

Let's start this season as we always have in the past, by discussing suggestions/concerns about the league.

If there’s anything you would like to discuss, or if you have any suggestions about how we could make the league better, here's your opportunity.

 

Here are a few suggestions that have already been brought up:

 

1. Player of the year award. It has been suggested that the POY should win $100 instead of $50.

2. Cut off for new players joining the league. It has been suggested the cut off should be the 2nd or 3rd game to join the league as a points player.

          As always non points players are more than welcome to play at points games.

3. Dead chips on the table for the final game. It has been suggested if a player does not register for the final game, his/her chips will NOT be placed on the table.

          This will help avoid what happened last year when 3 dead stacks were at one table.

4. Collecting your own bounty.

          We may have addressed this last season but basically if you win back to back games, you would collect bounty points.

 

Fees:

Nothing will change in terms of fees or buy-ins: the season fee is $20, the max buy-in per game is $25 + $5, and you must pay the season fee at your first game.

 

 

What I need from you:

Are you joining the league this season?

     I don’t want to assume your joining. Please let me know ASAP so I can add you to the season.

 

IF you are joining us for Season XV, I need you to vote on the following items:

     1. POY Award. Voting: Yes = $100, No = $50

      2. Player Cutoff. Voting Yes = 2 Games; No = 3 Games

      3. Dead Chips. Voting Yes = No chips on table; No = Leave chips on the table

      4. Collect own Bounty. Voting Yes = Collect own bounty; No = Don’t collect bounty

     Any additional suggestions not listed here. I'll forward out any new suggestions to the group for a vote.

 

You have until Sept 21^rd to respond to with your votes but I would appreciate your votes as soon as possible.

The faster you can get back to me the better.
